ALS Adjustable Pricking Iron

Versatile, not the best. The build quality is decent. They arrived pretty dull and required sharpening/honing before first use. The adjustment mechanism is very gritty and somewhat tedious, and can loosen during use if not careful. I find myself checking every 4-5 stitches to ensure the adjustment mechanism hasn't moved. For the occasional project/repair where versatility is more important than efficiency/quality, these are probably still a good purchase, although I would consider 2-3 two-prong pricking irons (in various sizes) as an alternative.

Need to offer wider chisels since they don’t match classic French stitching irons. I love them overall but they don’t work for my personal needs. I just use them in product shots but maybe a bad idea since it will give the wrong impression with my VB French irons. Would love to have a set that comes in a wider iron.

ALS Adjustable Pricking Iron

This adjustable pricking iron is an awesome new tool for me. This is highly useful in situations where there’s but last couple of holes need to be punched there at the END of a line oi stitching 🧵!

So, what I do is space the 2 prongs so that the last two holes look as evenly spaced as possible

Great tool to have one hand highly recommended picking one up.

This was exactly what I needed. Try as I might to avoid it, I’ve occasionally run into the issue of my stitches falling too long or short near the end of my project. This is a very handy tool and I highly recommend it.

Sharp and easy to adjust! Works great when you need to punch a stitching hole that doesn't match the spacing of your regular irons.
