This is a big upgrade from a generic 1 top press for use with my stitching chisels and hole punches. Due to working in the evening, I try to have no hammering in my work flow. The press is lighter weight than an arbor press easier to move around the workshop. It also does not need to be bolted to the table to work well. The 2 pucks it comes with work great. And the spring loaded handle makes life easier for sure. 100% happy with this. I will post a video review on my Instagram @rodrigo_handmade
I picked up the set #01, with the snap accessories.
After taking time to figure this beauty out. With the male thread being 6mm. and the female at 8mm.
I've started an accessory collection. If small adjustments to the base are made, such as stacking or removing, she will press all manner of tools. When pressing the stitching irons, 2 pieces of punch
pad with leather has worked the best for me. It feels sooo nice to press the tooling, instead of having
a whack attack. Calm, accurate, quiet and you can monitor depth or angle. I'm a night owl who seriously appreciates being able to work at 2:00 or 3:00 in the AM.
This machine has become the STAR of my small leather studio, with it's own light and tool cubby.
