Sandpaper Sharpening Jig

The plate is flat, the feet do a good job of preventing slipping, and it is easy to clamp down if need be. The cam clamps for the sandpaper are poorly designed as means to grab the paper, the cam action tends to force the sandpaper out of the slot, so it becomes a frustrating dance to get the paper clamped in. A rotating cam on sandpaper doesn't seem like a great solution for longevity of the tool, by its nature it is rubbing across the paper as it clamps.

I've been using sandpaper to sharpen my knives for a long time. This jig works great and very well made. I use wet/dry sandpaper in grits from 180 to 1500 followed by stropping and get great results. I highly recommend this product.
