High quality - minor quibble

This tool feels great in the hand and does exactly as advertised. I did glue leather to the plates - they are easy to remove and glue on the pads. My quibble is that a high quality press would have the pads. But - again - that is minor as it is a well-built tools. Highly recommend.

Clamp works well!

I think the tool should be priced lower only because the construction of the tool is too bulky and does not work properly when clamping and when the tool retracts back to position. I either clamped to hard with one hand or the mechanics of the tool was defective. Overal the tool is perfect for what I use it for.
